Aimee Rodriguez LCSW a Houston Social Worker for Kids & Teens

Aimee Rodriguez, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Aimee Burke Rodriguez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who wants everyone who walks into her office to know that they are in a safe, accepting, and engaging space. She has had the privilege of counseling and working with children and families for over 20 years and knows that navigating the tween, teen and young adult years can feel overwhelming for everyone involved. As a counselor, and mother of two, Aimee wants to normalize the need for counseling and support for teenagers and their families.

Aimee’s Education and Experience

After graduating from McNeese State University, Aimee Rodriguez received her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Texas at Austin and has lived and worked in Houston for almost 20 years. She has provided individual and family therapy in both office and school settings and has extensive experience facilitating evidence-based therapy and support groups for teens. She also has experience providing counseling and support for teenagers in the LGBTQ+ community.

Aimee’s Clinical Approach

In her clinical practice, she uses a variety of treatment modalities, with an emphasis on Strengths-Based and Solution Focused therapies. Working from a strengths-perspective, she helps teens to set clear goals, identify healthy solutions, focus on their own resilience and resourcefulness, correct negative patterns, and develop a positive self-image as they look toward the future.

Aimee’s Areas of Practice

Her areas of practice include:

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • family conflict

  • life transitions

  • behavior problems

  • school concerns

  • peer/relationship issues

The world around us can get very busy and loud, with a constant buzzing of what we have to do next. Aimee’s goal as a counselor is to provide a quiet pause in the week for teenagers to tell their stories and experiences. And while each individual’s life and stories are unique, she wants everyone to know that they are valued and capable of creating healthy and lasting change in their lives.
